pbe energietechnik implemented a turnkey compressed air station in solid construction for Diehl Metal Applications GmbH at its Berlin location. In addition to installing state-of-the-art technology, the waste heat was efficiently integrated into the existing infrastructure, and the renewal of the compressed air distribution system was carried out during ongoing production.

These measures significantly improved the efficiency and quality of the compressed air supply at the Berlin site and enabled the integration of waste heat utilization.

Key Project Measures

  • Construction of a turnkey compressed air station in solid building design
  • Installation of oil-free screw compressors (1 × 315 kW variable-speed, 2 × 250 kW)
  • Power supply via a separate transformer station connected to the 10 kV grid
  • Extraction of compressor waste heat and integration into three heating centers
  • Renewal of the compressed air distribution system in existing buildings during ongoing production
  • Centralized control of the new compressed air compressors as well as four additional machines from a remote control center
