Heat Recoveryfrom flame treatment ovens at Danish Crown

Key Technical Data:
  • Efficient use of waste heat to reduce primary energy consumption
  • Optimization of heating and domestic hot water supply through stratified storage tanks
  • Sustainable reduction of operating costs through heat recovery
  • Installation of an exhaust gas heat exchanger with a capacity of 1.500 kW

At Danish Crown in Essen (Oldenburg), a heat recovery system (HRS) with heating water storage was integrated as part of an efficiency improvement initiative to reduce primary energy consumption. The recovered waste heat is used to heat cleaning water and to support the heating system.

These measures enhance energy efficiency, reduce operating costs for hot water generation, and contribute to more sustainable production.
